How do you grow exotic plants?

Exotic flowers are, of course, adapted to the conditions in our climatic zone, which can often differ from their natural conditions. However, in order for exotic plants to grow well, to present themselves beautifully, almost in the same way as in their natural environment, and to ensure that their condition never weakens (for example, moments after purchase), it is necessary to follow the rules for their correct cultivation and care. Here are some key points for the proper development of exotic plants:

✔️Soil: before transplanting a purchased exotic plant into a new pot or into the ground, check what type of soil will be suitable for it. For example, the banana plant, with its beautiful green and spreading leaves, will be happiest growing in a permeable soil, perhaps peat mixed with clay with a pH of 6.0 - 6.5.

✔️Temperature and humidity: exotic plants usually come from parts of the world with a warm and humid climate, so these two factors are very important. Most of these plants are bad at tolerating draughts, low and fluctuating temperatures and excessive sunlight. This is not the rule, but it is worth paying attention when choosing, for example, an exotic specimen from the Amazon jungle, to ensure that it does not get too much sun and overexpose the plant. the natural conditions for this type of plant are a tropical forest with twilight in the lower parts.

✔️Fertiliser: regular but not too frequent fertilisation will help to keep the exotic plant in good condition. If you have any doubts about which preparation will be suitable for green or flowering plants please contact us, we will be happy to help.
