For plant beginners, we have very good news! You don't need to make a huge investment to start growing plants. You only need a few tools to get started. Some of these you are sure to already have at home, the rest you can assemble gradually. For example, you don't need to immediately stockpile the soil you need for transplanting or propagating plants or buy pruning shears - for a beginner grower, this can be a tall order. Also, plant poles will be needed when the plants get a little bigger. Approach the subject with calmness and consideration. You will need different accessories for day-to-day plant care than for occasional tasks such as transplanting or propagating them. Get started - the rest will come by itself. Once your home cultivation starts to grow, you will know for yourself which accessories to have on hand.
Must have for daily plant care
Contrary to what you may think, there is not much in the way of accessories necessary for daily plant care. It is worth starting by buying a watering can. Even if you can replace a watering can with a bottle or a jug at home, you will soon realise that a watering can with a narrow and long spout is by far the best. The watering can can even be inserted between dense foliage so that the water does not end up on the plant, but reaches the ground directly. On hot days or in cold weather when the heating dries out the air, a plant spray is useful. Also provide yourself with a good secateurs and gloves. These are items that can be considered essential for the amateur grower. Over time, you may also find it useful to have a brush or soft sponge for rubbing plant leaves, wire for tying long stems to poles and a small hoe for loosening the soil.
Plant transplanting accessories
If, as a grower, you have lived to see the first of spring, this means you are ready to repot your plants. So you can stock up on a few items that will make it easier for you. First of all, there are the pots. It's up to you which material they are made of. When repotting plants, you won't do without soil that is suitable for the species of plant you are repotting. You can use ready-made substrates for plants, dedicated to specific species. Or you can create the right mix by combining ingredients with different properties.
